The SEMA show is almost upon us but previews of the customized vehicles we'll get to see there are still few and far between. Well, at least fewer and further between than we'd like them to be.
Ford is expected to bring dozens of cars, SUVs, and pickup trucks at the Las Vegas show - over 50 of them, to be as precise as we can be at the moment - and it has just given us the rundown on four of them - all based on the Focus hatchback.

Three of them will have the all-wheel-drive RS model as their starting point, with the remaining one having to settle for the less hardcore ST version. However, it's the latter that wins the visual drama contest with a Midnight Purple paint job and a body kit that turns even the lowest sidewalk curb into its nemesis.

The very aggressive-looking hot hatch has a FullRace turbo kit to give it the boost needed to match the appearance, as well as a Ford Performance exhaust system and Blood Type Racing engine tuning. The Air Lift Performance air suspension will hopefully increase that awful ground clearance when the situation demands it (like a speed bumper, for example) while the Wilwood big brake kit will provide the stopping power.

Even though the other three exhibits are all based on the same Focus RS hot hatch, they couldn't be more different from each other. One is the dark-tinted "TriAthlete" that looks to excel at drag racing, track racing, and the occasional spin on the more twisty public roads. Apart from the obvious matte black finish, it also gets a few performance enhancers (Ford Performance exhaust, COBB Tuning carbon fiber cold air intake, and Levels Performance intercooler).

The yellow one you probably spotted in the gallery the moment you opened the page is a collaboration with the Universal Technical Institute. This is your typical hot hatch customization project: carbon fiber accessories, new air intake and intercooler for improved performance, some suspension modifications for better handling, and bigger, better brakes.

Finally, we have the rally-inspired Focus RS. It gets the mandatory white multi-spoke wheels courtesy of OZ Racing (19-inch Superturismo GTs, to be exact) as well as an intercooler and air intake upgrades, much like the other projects. A wrap completes the rally competition look as do the four LED projectors mounted in the front.

If you had a thirst for modified Ford Focus hot hatches, then the American manufacturer is surely going to quench it at this year's SEMA with its four different models. The only question now is which one is your favorite?
