Ford G6 Limited Edition Announced in Australia

American manufacturer Ford announced today the release of the G6 Limited Edition. Based on the G6, the new edition brings additional exterior an interior enhancements, worth some AU$4,000 at no extra charge.

"The G6 Limited Edition is a luxury car with a strong value proposition, which will further promote and strengthen the G Series brand," Beth Donovan, Ford Australia marketing vice president said in a release.

"With almost AU$4,000 of additional equipment at no extra cost and a fantastic AU$36,490 driveaway price point, the G6 Limited Edition offers customers almost AU$13,000 of net retail value compared to the regular G6, so it is sure to have wide-ranging appeal when cars arrive in dealerships during September."

To get straight to the point, the G6 Limited Edition adds, on the outside, 18-inch G Series alloy wheels, unique color accent treatments on the upper and lower grilles, fog lamp bezels and rear bumper insert, and a "Limited Edition" badge.

On the inside, the G6 brings both safety and comfort/infotainment features, including side curtain airbags, leather-detailed seat trim, leather-wrapped sports steering wheel with satin alloy audio and cruise control buttons, iPod integration and Bluetooth1 mobile phone integration.

Nothing will change under the hood however, with the G6 boasting the same engine choices. Ford says the Limited Edition will also be offered for the E-Gas dedicated LPG engine paired with the four-speed automatic transmission. For this version, the 18-inch wheels will be replaced with 17-inch ones.

Also for the E-Gas version, the AU$2,000 government grant will lower the price of the car.
