The second generation of the Ford Fusion saloon will be officially unveiled as a global product at the upcoming Detroit Motor Show next month, but the current model is doing amazingly well so far this year.
Ever since the first full sales year in 2006, the car has increased both market share and the bottom line, with 2011 to be its best-ever sales year. By year-end, Fusion sales are expected to reach 240,000 units. Also, Ford stands to make a lot of models are configured with options like SYNC, Blind Spot Information System or rear view camera.
“Since launching in the 2006 model year, Fusion has reinforced Ford’s commitment to the midsize sedan market,” said Samantha Hoyt, Fusion marketing manager. “Recognized as a Best Buy every year since launch, Fusion is a key contributor to Ford’s car renaissance.”
