We bet that Ford bosses in America are asking each other what took them so long to bring the Focus ST over. Far from the skeptical idea it once was, the hot hatch is being enjoyed by lots of customers and is the darling of the tuning industry.
At last year’s SEMA Show we ourselves noticed more tuned STs than we can count, and the trend has continued into 2013. The latest hot Ford is the Tanner Foust Edition, created by the guys over at Cobb Tuning.

Far from being all about stickers and tinted windows, the Tanner Foust Edition comes with quite a bit more power. The 2-liter EcoBoost engine has been to produce 300-horsepower, thanks to an optimized ECU, an enlarged intercooler, a sports exhaust system and better intake system.

Cosmetic changes include a new mesh grille, an adjustable front splitter, side skirts and a diffuser. Two large vents cut into the hood make sure the engine is not only well dressed but also stays cool under pressure. Body graphics combine with frozen gray paint to create a unique look.

Pricing will be announced later this year, with the parts also becoming available individually, not just as a package.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
