Engaging in a Nurburgring Touristenfahrten (Tourist Days) adventure sounds like one of the best options a gearhead has and yet such an experience can easily turn into a disaster. How thin is the line that separates the two? Well, you're about to find out, all with the help of a Ford Focus RS.
We're talking about a first-generation RS, one that almost fell into a trap awaiting Ring novices early into their lap.

The bend that brought trouble for the driver of the hot hatch is called Schwedenkreuz. The bend follows a generous straight and comes right after a hill, with those who aren't aware of it being tempted to suddenly lift or even hit the brakes while they start turning into it.

Of course, such maneuver only causes the posterior of the vehicle to become light and start dancing. And things weren't different with the Focus RS. Fortunately, the one behind the wheel managed to prevent the car from fully sliding, even though he did end up with two wheels on the grass on the inner side of the track.

As we've shown you in the past, Sx (this is how friends call the twist) is the kind of corner that can easily put a car on its roof - here's an example involving a BMW 3 Series racecar.

Now, those of you who are used to hardcore Green Hell moments might find this one a bit light, but you should keep in mind that everything is more intense from inside the car. Speaking of which, this is how losing control in Sx feels like from the cabin of an Audi.

P.S.: You'll find the Focus RS moment at the 5:27 point of the video below, but you should know that the rest of the clip is also worthy of your attention, with this showcasing various moments from the Ring session that took place recently.
