Ford F-Series Remains America’s Best-Selling Vehicle and Truck

Ford’s iconic truck sold 74,592 units in December and 763,402 examples throughout the year, almost double than Toyota’s best-selling vehicle for the year, the Camry four-door sedan, which delivered about 408,000 units.

Last year’s total sales also represent the truck’s highest level since 2006, while December 2013 marks the vehicle’s eighth straight month of sales above 60,000 units.

In related news, Ford Motor Company is America's best-selling brand for the fourth consecutive year, with US sales in 2013 totaling nearly 2.5 million vehicles - also the manufacturer's best annual sales since 2006. The Fusion, the Fiesta and the Escape set sales records last year, with increases between 13 and 25 percent.
