Ford F-Series Ready for SEMA

American manufacturer Ford, one of the most active carmakers in aftermarket customization, is getting ready to rock the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas at the beginning of November with an entire line of specially tweaked F-Series trucks.

Built together with various aftermarket specialists, the models to be presented at SEMA include a motocross concept, a Pro Football Hall of Fame-dedicated truck and a race car support truck. Below is the list of F-Series goodies to be showcased at the event.

Godfather Customs 2011 Ford F-150 - based on the F-150 powered by a 3.5l EcoBoost engine, the truck comes with a 2.5-inch cowl induction hood, bumper cover, roll pan, handle relocator, tonneau bed cover and liner and halo taillamps.

A.R.E. Accessories 2011 Ford F-150 - with the purpose of promoting the goals of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the A.R.E version of the F-150 comes with hall of fame styling and pigskin leather.

Mickey Thompson 2011 Ford F-150 – built for hardcore offroaders, the Mickey Thompson F-150 packs all the required features for a successful off-road adventure. That includes 35-inch Mickey Thompson Baja Claw TTC Radical tires, Fabtech 6-inch suspension, PIAA auxiliary lighting and Warn Industries winch recovery gear.

The Custom Shop 2011 Ford F-150 – more of a styling exercise than a performance upgrades one, the version displayed by The Custom Shop comes with shaved handles, lightweight tonneau cover, lightweight rims and low-rolling-resistance tires.

Rize Industries 2011 Ford F-350 Super Duty – a motocross concept by definition, the Rize version of the Super Duty rides higher than the regular version thanks to the 8-inch quad-link suspension.

Cars by Kris and Airhead Kustoms 2011 Ford F-350 Super Duty – or the Pitt Boss, as its creators like to call it. The truck wants to be nothing more than a tow and support vehicle to be used to haul a race car to the track and serve as a mobile pit.

Skyjacker Suspensions 2011 Ford F-350 Super Duty – suspensions is the name of the game for this truck, which rides on 8.5-inch Skyjacker-developed ones, with heavy-duty front and rear Fab Fours bumpers to match the higher, more imposing stance.

“These trucks sell imagery across the board,” said Melvin Betancourt, Ford specialty design manager. “Customers in the truck world want to go off-roading, or at least have the image that they can, or have a truck they can cruise in. We have trucks that fit everything in those categories.”
