Ford F-150 SVT Raptor SuperCrew on the Way to Dealers

Ford's F-150 SVT Raptor will soon get enriched with the addition of a new body version, the SuperCrew. The model, which has already recorded 2,700 orders to its name, has begun shipping to Ford dealerships nationwide. The model will be priced starting at $44,135, including the $975 destination and delivery fee.

The SuperCrew version previews the slightly revised 2011 model year SVT Raptor. Under the hood, the same 6.2l V8 engine will spit 411 horsepower and 434 lb.-ft. of torque, drawing its fuel from a tank with an increased capacity, now at 36 gallon.

The engine is paired to a SelectShift Automatic transmission, while the towing capability has also been increased to 8,000 pounds.

The interior of the pickup has also received minor tweaks, highlighted by the new 4.2-inch LCD productivity screen. The exterior presents an additional paint color, Ingot Silver Metallic, while new optional matte black accent graphics runs for the length of the hood.

Separately, the F-150 SVT Raptor received the Pickup Truck of the Year award from Four Wheeler magazine. The tenth such title for the model and has been awarded after a 1,000 mile competition held in Southern California.
