Doing 12-second quarter mile runs with SUVs in no longer surprising, even if it means taking a large vehicle into stock Ford Mustang GT territory. Hennessey already did it with their beefed-up 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee a while back, but what you're about to see below is totally different.
That's because we're not talking about some supercharged V8 mill, but a 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine. What's more, the guys over at Livernois Motorsports did some minor modifications for such an achievement. According to StangTV, the SUV got just a 93 octane Livernois tune, a 170-degree thermostsat, prototype catted downpipes, an Airaid cold-air intake, and a Livernois/Corsa cat-back exhaust system.

The tweaks resulted in a quarter mile time of only 12.81 seconds at a speed of 107.35 mph (172.76 km/h), which is more than impressive. No word on when this package will become available to customers, but Livernois Motorsports seems like a great place to turn your daily SUV into a heck of a sleeper.
