Ford Ecoboost Commercial: Death for Frogs

It’s pretty difficult to make an original automotive ad these days and if the the adjacent one shows something, it’s the fact that the Blue Oval (though it’s Australian arm) is definitely trying to do this.
The clip shows us two Australian cane toads that are sitting in the middle of the road at night, having a chat on various subjects. It starts with a discussion about their secretion, aphrodisiacs and so one, but then they spot a car driving up their hill they’re sitting on.

One of the frogs recognizes the sound of a four cylinder engine and tries to explain, in an extremely relaxed manner, that this means the car lacks power and will need ages to reach them, so there’s no need for them to move away from the road.

What happens next? Ford is trying to convince us that its four-cylinder Ecoboost unit has the muscle of a six-cylinder one by offering us an extremely violent, albeit CGI, scene. What can we say... we’re not impressed.
