Ford today announced that the C-MAX Hybrid comes with a starting price of $25,995, with the vehicle set to enter the market this fall. However, the company’s dealers are now starting to take orders for the vehicle.
While the C-MAX Hybrid is $500 cheaper than the Toyota Prius v, Ford promises that the C-MAX Energi plug-in hybrid, which will arrive later this year, will beat the Prius plug-in hybrid in terms of efficiency.

The vehicle comes with a hybrid drivetrain comprised od a new 2.0-liter Atkinson cycle engine and an electric motor, which uses a lithium-ion battery pack. The electric motor can operate the car alone or work with the petrol one at higher speeds.

The vehicles comes with a rich list of optional extras, which includes features such as an engine start button, a voice-activated navigation system, as well as a premium audio system that comes from Sony.
