Ford C-MAX and Grand C-MAX Score Two Fleet News Awards

Ford C-MAX and Grand C-MAX received two awards at the recent Fleet News ceremony, namely the New Company Car of the Year 2011" as well as "Best People Carrier". The decision was made by an expert panel of judges, based mainly on operating costs.

"The new Ford C-Max and Grand C-Max stand out thanks to clever and flexible seating and sliding rear passenger doors in a highly competitive sector with a range of new entrants," Fleet News' panel of industry judges said.

The "New Company Car of the Year" accolade was actually decided by fleet operator readers of Fleet News. The Ford pair and the their competitors were judged on a range of criteria, including operating costs (depreciation, fuel, servicing, maintenance and repair etc) and suitability for their use as business cars.

The Ford C-MAX 1.6 TDCi Titanium recently received an accolade from Parkers, who used similar criteria on the basis of list price combined with running costs. As a result the C-MAX was named the best multi-purpose vehicle winner when determining the "cars that makes your cash go further".

“On sale since November, the five-seat C-MAX and the seven-seat Grand C-MAX, have recently been joined by the all-new Ford Focus.  Together they provide customers with a wide choice of stylish medium sized vehicles to suit differing needs,” Ford UK says.

The C-MAX has an on-the-road price of £17,195 while the Grand C-MAX cost from as low as £19,195. Both have recently scored the maximum five stars in the Euro NCAP and come with Thatcham Category 1 alarm, DAB radio, Bluetooth and USB connectivity as standard.
