Ford is arriving late at the compact MPV table with its B-Max - the company today released the first picture of the production-ready model, which is scheduled to make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show. However, the carmaker promises to give us one of the brightest models in the segment.
First and foremost, the B-Max has retained the prototype-s door layout, which means that the B-pillars are missing and that at the back we have sliding doors. The combination between these two features offers a unique layout in the vehicle’s class and Ford promises to add class-topping loading space to that.
We have to remember that this is a city car that’s only slightly longer than a Fiesta, so under the hod we’ll find small engines, with the start of the range being Ford’s new 1.0-liter Ecoboost petrol.
“The B-MAX combines an exciting, innovative design with features that only previously have been found in bigger cars,” said Stephen Odell, chairman and CEO, Ford of Europe. “It’s a brand new car that responds to the needs of an increasing number of customers who want much more from their small cars.”
