The European market has been eagerly awaiting the market launch of the Ford B-MAX, a sub-compact MPV that made its impact as a concept at last year’s Geneva Motor Show.
But since the innovations this car comes with, like the Ford SYNC system that makes its European debut with this model, the B-MAX was first shown in production form at the 2012 Mobile World Congress. Our team was at hand in Barcelona today to get you up close and personal with the innovative people-mover.

“Revealing the B-MAX at Mobile World Congress underlines how important technology is to customers and to Ford,” said Stephen Odell, chairman and CEO, Ford of Europe. “B-MAX will raise the bar for small vehicles in Europe, combining technology and premium engineering into a compact frame.”

When it goes on sale in Europe later this year, the B-MAX will be available with the new 1.0-liter Ford EcoBoost engine that replaces normally aspirated 1.4-liter and 1.6-liter units. This is available in two stages of tune, namely the 100PS and 125PS. The engine range will of course include some equally frugal Duratorq TDCi diesels.
