Ford Announces Lineup for 2009 SEMA Show

US-based car manufacturer Ford announced its lineup for the 2009 SEMA Show that will be held November 3 - 6 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Ford will showcase the all-new 2010 Ford Taurus and the 2010 Transit Connect, alongside regular and hybrid versions of the 2010 Fusion and customized versions of Focus, Edge and Flex.

“Customization enthusiasts are looking for a unique vehicle with quality, and the design, technology, craftsmanship and performance of the new Taurus provide the perfect platform,” said Pei-Wen Hsu, Ford Taurus marketing manager.

“We wanted to put a little more power to the ground,”
Scott Hoag, owner of MRT-Direct in Plymouth, Mich., said about the Mobsteel Taurus SHO to be displayed at the Show. “We’re going to lower the car, give it a more street-aggressive stance and add some of our styling cues, with ground effects and a custom hood.” The MRT-Direct Taurus SHO will be also equipped with a red exterior with candied cherry roof and custom hood. “We developed a custom stainless-steel exhaust system to help the car sound more high-performance, and finished it off with an extreme audio entertainment system from Kicker,” said Hoag.

The 2010 Ford Taurus SHO by Mobsteel will come with black-on-black Mobsteel paint job, custom facias, as well as with 22-inch Mobsteel forged two-piece wheels and super-low-profile Pirelli PZero Nero tires.

The 2010 Ford Taurus “Best of SHO” by MRT-Direct on the other hand will come with a black cherry roof and custom vented hood, turbo system, exhaust upgrade plus wheel, tire and suspension modifications. A Kicker sound system is also available.
