Force India Update VJM02 for Hungary

Force India are hoping to keep their momentum in the Formula One championship alive for at least one more race and finally score their first point(s) in the series, in Hungary. Considering the track at the Hungaroring is very much alike the one at the Nurburgring – where the VJM 02 behaved wonderfully throughout the German weekend – chief race engineer Dominic Harlow is confident that a point finish is not out of reach in Hungary.

Adrian Sutil recorded his first Q3 presence in career at the Ring and his strong run in the race boosted the team's morale before the Hungarian weekend. As revealed by Harlow, the Silverstone mechanics are constantly pushing hard to develop new parts for the second half of the season, with a few changes at the front wink likely to be introduced in Hungary also.

We have a few more parts for Hungary. It's not the same magnitude as Silverstone, but we're keeping pace with our development plans and hopefully with the other teams,” Harlow revealed in a preview for the Hungarian Grand Prix.

There are some front wing, brake duct and floor developments that we are pushing through. There are also the usual small mechanical changes for Hungary. We will also do a little bit of extra work on the set-up side for that circuit because it's quite tricky,” added the Force India engineer.

While reckoning the Hungaroring track will suit the car even better that the Nurburgring, Harlow insisted the team is already working on a brand new aerodynamic package for the European Grand Prix, at Valencia.

It's another upgrade target for us with a slightly bigger package of new parts coming. We will have further changes to the front wing again, and changes to the bargeboard area, and the front of the floor and sidepods,” concluded Harlow.
