Forbes Talks Cars With Dita Von Teese

One of the most interesting media initiatives we’ve seen in a while when it comes to celebrities and cars comes from Forbes magazine, which had a nice, long talk with the Dita Von Teese. This woman mixes plenty of sass with vintage cars and 4-inch stilettos.

“The 1930s were the most elegant years for cars. The Packard is notoriously the kind of car that gangsters drove: They were fast, they were slick, they were cool,” Von Teese says about her stunning 1939 Packard, in which she drives around in the Hollywood hills.

The burlesque tar owns three cars now, a 1946 Ford convertible, a 1953 Cadillac and the blue Packard. The celebrity also knows her history lessons well and it’s almost like listening to Jay Leno when he covers the little details that you’d miss.

And it’s clear she knows her stuff, because she says she’s never lost money on these old cars. She might be able to spot the lemons like a pro, or might have something to do with the fact that people want to own one of her cars, but she sure can match an outfit to a paint scheme.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
