The Internet will give you countless modified versions of the popular Jeep Wrangler, from tuning exercises gone wrong to mad off-road monsters, but we've never seen a Wrangler made out of cans.
We're sure a lot of work and effort goes into building a real-life Jeep Wrangler, but how about the same model being made using only food cans? Is that even attainable?

Well, it is, and there's living proof to attest that. Of course, this is not your regular Jeep Wrangler, which means unusual methods have been used throughout the car's creation process.

For starters, we'll tell you that the can-ified Wrangler is not the product of engineering work as you might think. The car was put together by students 12 to 18 years of age, as Jeep and the FCA foundation teamed up with Canstruction.

Although the name might seem to say it all, Canstruction is an international non-profit organization that aims to raise awareness of hunger and poverty by building structures made out of full cans of food to capture public attention.

Besides looking like Tin Man's ride, the Jeep Wrangler celebrated Canada Day using its uncanny (pun intended) body kit made of 4,500 cans of non-perishable food that will be donated to charity, and will eventually be turned into 3,120 meals for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society.

Unlike the real deal Jeep Wrangler, the Canstruction Jeep Wrangler took approximately 12 hours to build and was on display on July 1 in Vancouver. All in all, it's a praiseworthy initiative from Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles we hope other carmakers will emulate.
