There is not a single bike rolling out the FMW Motorcycles workshop doors without the awesome mojo which makes heads turn involuntarily. The Ratpus makes no exception: prepare to be amazed!
Originally a Yamaha TT 600, the Ratpus is now living in a different plane of existence. Exclusive, bizarre even, the Ratpus is a bike with amazing looks but who's definitely not afraid to take a fall in the gravel.
Ratpus lost the OEM fork and got a GSX-R one installed, with a petal rotor and Honda pumps, fed by high-performance braided lines and controls loaded on a Rizoma handlebar. The engine got a Dynojet kit, Green air filter, and a custom oil tank. The rear monoshock was also modified to serve the new purpose, while frame changes also came in place.
The Fugar (Lorenzo Fugaroli of FMW) used his amazing metal works skills to hand craft a new fuel tank, a new tail and subframe, headlight fairing and fender. Engraving and oxydation brought new, steampunk/rat looks to the sheet steel and the new work of modern wart was sealed under a coat of clear epoxy.
A minimalist, sporty neoprene seat was also installed for an even more badass look. Now the Ratpus can go anywhere, asphalt or dirt, and will proudly show how cool distressed metal can indeed be. Mad Max is pleased with this bike!
