This coming weekend Pebble Beach is the place to be for car lovers, as a host of carmakers have confirmed their entries for the event. Of all the manufacturers attending this year, McLaren deserves special attention.

Undoubtedly, the GT is the star of the 2019 McLaren lineup, and it is this car that will shine on the grounds of the Californian Concours d’Elegance. And not just any G.T., but one tweaked by the carmaker’s personalization division, McLaren Special Operations (MSO).

The GT is just a few weeks away from the start of deliveries, and the Brits traveled to the U.S. to show potential customers what they can have if they too order one.

Wrapped in a new exterior color called Flux Silver – contrasted by Satin Graphite on the door skirts, front splitter, wing mirrors, rear bumper, and diffuser – the McLaren GT by MSO adds just the right amount of unique touches to make it an even more exciting proposition.

On the inside, the GT shows stitching McLaren says was inspired by the geometric canopy design of the British Museum. These elements can be found on the seat backs, sun visor, door cards, and armrest.

“We believe that the McLaren GT has class leading elegance and sophistication, and is the perfect car to further personalise, whether it be through an MSO Defined or MSO Bespoke option, or alternatively, a unique, customer inspired design that MSO delivers a stunning interpretation of,” said in a statement MSO’s managing director Ansar Ali.

Shown for the first time earlier this year as the first true Grand Tourer in the McLaren range, the GT created its own range alongside the Sports, Super and Ultimate Series.

The car is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that develops 620 ps and 630 Nm of torque. It is capable of reaching 62 mph in 3.2 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 326 kph (203 mph).

The GT sells for £163,000 in the U.K., but that price does not include the special tweaks made by MSO.
