He may have retired from the ring (until he changes his mind again, that is), but that doesn’t mean he has any thoughts of seizing the car game too. Oh, no, the five-division champ is almost fanatic about his pricey auto collection, and that’s one thing we all know. We’re pretty sure the news that three of his most expensive rides have burned to the grown will infuriate Floyd Mayweather.
TMZ Sports reports that a trailer transporting Floyd’s Bentley, two Rolls-Royce and the customized Jeep Wrangler all burned down to the ground this week. Apparently, the truck was carrying the boxing champ’s rides from Vegas to Miami when something happened outside of Phoenix, Arizona Wednesday night. Judging by what seems to be an amateur footage, the entire unit went up in flames, which means we’re looking at a prejudice that is worth millions of dollars.
Police have already confirmed the arson, and so did the transportation company who, according to the source, said the cars were shipped through Obi Okeke at Luxury Fusion Motors. As we have previously reported on numerous times, this is the auto dealership Mayweather has been working with.
It’s the place where he bought some of the most expensive rides in his famous line-up, including the Ferrari Enzo, most of his Bugattis (yes, he has more than one. Three to be precise). It’s also the dealership Floyd took delivery of his new Koenigsegg Trevita from, which is one of the most expensive supercars currently on the market.
There’s no word on what started the fire in the first place, but we have heard of intentional arson attacks targeted at wealthy celebrities before. As a matter of fact, we have just recalled of last year's London attacks that saw the so-called Lord Aleem getting more than one of his expensive cars burned to the ground. Just like Mayweather, Aleem Iqbal also bragged a lot with his luxury cars his father would own through the family’s dealership.
Nevertheless, we’ll have to wait for an official statement to see what really happened. Since we are talking about high-end vehicles and a wealthy owner, we’re pretty sure the cars were insured.
