It’s been a while since the five-division boxing champ saluted his dear social media followers (11.9 million on Facebook solely). It’s not like we’re counting the days or anything like that, but we reported about the new $4.8 million hypercar quite a while ago. Yet it was only today Floyd Mayweather decided to brag officially about it.
For the few out there who haven’t had the chance to dream of driving this rare piece of machinery, we’ll take a small detour first to introduce it to you. As you very well know, Koenigsegg is not into the mainstream automotive making, as in prices for any of their models start at around $1 million. As if that wasn’t enough, the eccentric Swedish auto manufacturer also introduced extremely rare models, those of which come in one or two units.

The CCXR Trevita Floyd Mayweather owns is a one-of-three existing on this planet, but that’s far from being what makes it impressive. So you’ve heard of the carbon fiber hysteria, but did you know that this hypercar has a white carbon fiber body work? When the sun lights bright on this beauty, the exclusive material shines likes millions of diamonds. Koenigsegg claims it’s their particular manufacturing technique they’ve developed themselves, especially for this limited edition range.

Now, let’s look at what truly amazes any petrolhead: power. There’s a 4.8-liter V8 engine producing an impressive 1,032 horsepower and 796 lb-ft (1080 Nm) of torque. We’re talking about four valves per cylinder and twin superchargers, specially developed transversal paddle-shift gearbox and a top speed of 254+ mph (410+ km/h).

All these may look like moving figures; nonetheless they are mere numbers on a sheet of paper. Instead, we could use the power of comparison to get a proper picture. Put it this way, the hypercar Floyd Mayweather bought is two times lighter than the Bugatti Veyron and is also quite smaller in size, so imagine what that means in terms of power to weight ratio.

Again, they don’t call Mayweather Money for no reason.
