About four years ago Floyd Mayweather entered the home of his former girlfriend and mother of three of his children, Josie Harris, and started being violent. As the eldest of the family, 10-year old Koraun managed to flee the house and call for help, thus saving his mother’s life. Ever since, the champ has been trying to get back to his kids, but it turns out the past won’t just go away with expensive gifts.
He is an undefeated boxer and five-division world champion, but off ring he doesn’t seem to win too many battles when it comes to respecting women.

Floyd Mayweather recently posted an image of the custom-built golden Bentley golf cart he bought for his oldest son, Koraun. The was supposed to be a gift for Koraun's 15th anniversary. Even though the two seemed quite happy in the picture, it turns out the boxer’s entire fortune and exclusive car collection won’t be enough for his son to forgive him just yet.

Koraun witnessed his mother getting beaten by Mayweather

Everything started back in 2010 when Koraun witnessed how his father abused his mother. After a long time of keeping things away from the public eye the young fellow decided to talk about the day he was forced to call the police in a desperate gesture to save his mom.

In an article recently published on USA Today, Koraun Mayweather recalled the night: “(My dad) said to lock my door and stay in my room. I sat there and thought about what I was going to do next. Just like a minute. [...] I ran and I tried to go through the front door to go to the (security) gate. But then his friend came through the door and blocked off the stairway for me to go through.

The boy eventually managed to get out of the house and ask the guard to call the ambulance and the police. While Harris needed medical intervention to heal, Mayweather ended up spending two thirds out of his 90 days sentence behind bars and was released in August 2012.

Four years later, Koraun is still seeing his father every once in a while, mostly in the weekend, but it doesn’t seem that he has forgiven him. In the interview, he even called his father a coward, stating he’d never go on his footsteps as a professional boxer.

The custom golf cart

As to the gift Koraun received, it’s one of those rich-people presents that celebrities with a lot of money to spend usually buy. That doesn’t mean, however, it’s not every kid’s dream come true.

We’re not sure if Mayweather bought it from the same company, but one of the oldest custom carts makers in US is Palms Springs, California-based All Custom Golf Carts. They basically make golf carts with the looks of any luxury car on the market, whether it’s a modern Audi, Bentley or Mercedes, or a classic Rolls-Royce.

You’ll need around $8,500 to get one, but is there anything you wouldn’t do to get back to your son?
