Flaming Ferrari 458 Italia Photos

Some one week ago, we brought you a very disturbing news of a Ferrari 458 Italia which suffered a spontaneous combustion somewhere in France. At the time, all we had to show you were a bunch of photos showing the remains of the car after the blaze.

Now we are able, thanks to the guys which photographed the fire and sent the photos over to WreckedExotics, to bring you a few images showing the car as it melted away under the scorching flames.

Along with the photos come new information as well. The car apparently was not in France, but in Switzerland. The incident occurred on the 14th of July, several days after another 458 was shot while burning in Paris.

As you can see in the photos, the fire originated in the back of the car, on the left side of the vehicle. It slowly advanced towards the front, melting away the Ferrari-red body of the car. The blaze was so intense that when the whole ordeal concluded, all that was left of the car was a pile of twisted metal.

So far, Ferrari has not made any comments into the two fires. Judging by the photos though, both fires seem to have originated from the same location.

Some speculate that the fire which ate away at the Swiss 458 was caused by the efforts made by the car while climbing to the mountains where it met its doom. The climb is said to have heated the engine so much, that the car couldn't help itself from catching fire.

That however does not explain why the other in Paris went ablaze, on a straight stretch of road, in a city.
