Fisker Karma Coming to 2012 SEMA Show

With no body kit on the market and very few tuner willing to chop up a $100,000 luxury automobile, Fisker basically had to tune the Karma all by itself for this year’s SEMA Show.

To show how interesting this extended range EV can be if you customized. The Karma has not been repainted but wrapped in 3M's Diamond Protection Film. The company tells us this is a "virtually invisible paint protection film that helps maintain the Karma's dramatic design aesthetic and resale value by preventing rock chips and damage from other road debris.” Very innovative, we’ve never seen that before!

These photos are only graphic interpretations of what will be done, because the actual wraps will be done on the SEMA Show floor, one per day. The orange wrap is dubbed “October Sun” and is done in Gloss Burnt Orange and Brushed Black Metallic. Meanwhile “Riverside” is an American racing tribute done in Matte White exterior with Gloss Blue Metallic racing stripes. There’s also a hot-rod inspired theme an futuristic brushed metallic one.

autoevolution will be attending the 2012 SEMA, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
