VL Automotive’s Fisker Karma-based Destino concept will be showcased at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show next week with an ultra-premium interior designed by famed specialist Katzkin.
The news comes as no surprise considering that VL Automotive co-founder Bob Lutz was appointed as Senior Advisor by Katzkin about a month ago. “A beautifully designed car like the Destino deserves an exceptional interior,” said Bob Lutz. “By providing a fully customized Katzkin interior, we bring a custom-tailored design to the vehicle and its owner.”

“We’ve always been successful in working with boutique, small niche brands and vehicles. VL allows us to align our leading design capabilities with exceptional vehicles and we look forward to a long and growing future relationship,” Katzkin CEO Brooks Mayberry added.

The VL Automotive-modified Fisker Karmas will be fitted with Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 powertrains and sold with two engine choices - a naturally aspirated version with 450 HP and a supercharged variant with 638 HP.
