First UK-Bound Citroen DS3 Racing Delivered

The first of only 200 special edition DS3 Racing models coming to Great Britain has been delivered to its rightful owner. Late last week, John Leslie made the journey to Worleys Citroen in High Wycombe to take personal delivery of his 207hp Citroen Racing-developed DS3 from Sales Executive, Keith Cullen.

The model is proving exceptionally popular with Citroen fans, as customers placing an order for a DS3 Racing this March will join a waiting list of approximately six months before taking delivery of their car.

"I was looking for a car that mixed rally-bred performance and handling with a good helping of style and quality, and the DS3 Racing easily stood out.  The added every-day practicality was a real bonus,” Leslie stated.

The DS3 Racing was developed by the French carmaker’s racing division, the group behind six WRC Manufacturer’s titles and seven Driver’s titles for Sebastien Loeb and co-driver Daniel Elena. The car represents a combination of sporting pedigree with bold styling, racing inspired design, an uncompromising choice of premium materials and an extensive equipment specification.

Its specially-developed 1.6-liter THP engine produces 207hp and maximum torque of 275Nm (202 lb-ft), which means Citroen DS3 Racing boasts a top speed of 146mph (234 km/h), a standard sprint time of just 6.5 seconds and takes just 26.5 seconds to cover 1,000 meters (0.62 miles) from a standing start.

Citroen DS3 Racing is available in two distinctive color schemes, one with an Obsidian Black body and a Sport Orange roof, and the other featuring a Polar White body with a Carbon Grey roof.
