First Try: Driving a Car on Two Wheels Around Laguna Seca

Laguna Seca is a notoriously difficult circuit to go around, even on a car’s all four wheels, but when someone went round on two wheels, we were interested. James ‘Ski’ Smith recently attempted to take an old Mustang around what is commonly known as the most difficult track in North America, thanks in part to the famous and very tricky ‘Corkscrew’ turn.
The driver managed to get through 6 of the track’s turns but then, an oiling issue with the V8 in his Mustang caused him to stop. He hasn’t given up though and he hopes he can try it again soon, and go all the way back to the start line on two wheels. We like his determination to do something unique, something which really demands proper car control skill - it’s almost like trying to balance a Segway by yourself and ride it a the same time.

We wish James ‘Ski’ Smith good luck in his future attempts, and we hope to see his successful run soon!
