WDW 2016 will take place at the iconic Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli from July 1 to 3 this year, and will be the temporary home of the largest number of Ducati fans worldwide.

Launched back in 2015, the Ducati Scrambler Land of Joy sub-brand was present at the previous WDW event only as a teaser. People were allowed to take a peek at an early Scrambler model enclosed in a container, after being asked to leave cameras and cell phones outside.

Even with all the precautions, some pictures leaked, but they could not predict the huge success of the Scrambler in both the Italian and international markets. In the first year after the market debut, more than 16,000 Scramblers were sold, and the bike soon became the best-selling motorcycle in Italy.

This also contributed to helping Ducati reach record sales that surpassed all the previous performances, transforming the Scrambler into a new Ducati legend born overnight.

For the WDW 2016, Ducati prepared a yellow-themed Land of Joy 1,400 square meter (15,070 square feet) area for the Scrambler fans, mimicking the Venice Beach, CA style. Test rides, competitions, live music, plus slides and swimming pools, soap bubble in Riccione and the Scrambler Custom Rumble bespoke motorcycle contest are all part of the first Scrambleristi rally.

The fans of Casey Stoner will also be able to see their hero in action at the Misano circuit, as the Australian rider confirmed his presence at World Ducati Week 2016.

Stoner, who was recently confirmed as a MotoGP test rider for Borgo Panigale, is one of the pivotal figures in Ducati Corse. The Oz-based rider is the only one to bring Ducati a MotoGP World Title, with his 2007 performance, when he secured the premier class crown at Motegi, Japan, in September, no less than four rounds before the end of the championship.

Ducati is a bit secretive as to what Stoner's involvement in the WDW 2016 will be, but we can expect some talks and demo rides. World Ducati Week 2016 tickets are already available, with prices starting at €40 ($45) per day for visitors.
