Leaking photo is common nowadays that I bet there's a guy at every press office who's job it is to let slip mugshots. There's nothing wrong with building hype for a car using speculation, but only if that car is worth hyping.
The C-X17 is deffinitely worth hyping about. Nowadays, every company has regular car and SUV sections to their website, but not Jaguar. The leaper is sister to the biggest maker of SUVs out there and she didn't want to step on Land Rover's toes.
The C-X17 is still a concept, but it's production-intent and looks brilliant. This photo we've obtained from Russian website autowp.ru only shows the front of the car. That's because a side view would reveal something we don't know yet, like the size of the car or the shape of that boot.
From the front, the concept actually looks like the XF, boasting long headlights with a shallow curve. There's barely any resemblance to the F-Type, which is not necessarily a bad thing. The headlights are all-LED, with about 22 individual diodes creating a modern loo. There's also a halo around the lower air intakes.
The Jaguar SUV is going to be something people are going to talk about for years, comparing the looks to the Cayenne or Bentley's upcoming model. We think it's fantastic the leaper is diversifying with a new niche car.
