Saudi Arabia is home to the holiest cities of Islam, but also an oil-rich country where women weren’t allowed to drive until a royal decree was issued in September 2017. The largest sovereign state in the Middle East also happens to be an automotive heaven where the well-to-do drive million-dollar cars like this Pagani Huayra Roadster.
Listed for sale by Seven Car Lounge in the capital city of Riyadh, the white-painted hypercar hasn’t been driven at all since the owner took delivery from the Italian automaker. In addition to the impeccable specification, the twin-turbo V12 land missile also happens to be the first production model of 100 ever manufactured.
The dealer doesn’t list the price for chassis number one, but bear in mind pricing used to kick off at $2.4 million without options. We’re guessing #001 is worth $3 million considering the speculation that occurs at this level of the automotive industry, more so if you remember that people who want the Huayra Roadster are worth a lot more than the car.
In addition to the exclusivity of the vehicle, the white paintwork contrasts nicely with the carbon-fiber components and center-lock wheels. The engine cover comes with a plaque that includes the signature of the man who assembled the 6.0-liter engine by himself in Affalterbach, the home of Mercedes-AMG.
Unveiled at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, the Huayra Roadster takes some goodies from the Huayra BC as far as the oily bits and aerodynamic trickery are concerned. The M158 engine develops 764 PS (754 horsepower) and 1,000 Nm (738 pound-feet) of torque, sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed Xtrac sequential transmission.
After the Huayra Roadster L’Ultimo left the assembly line, next in the offing is the Huayra BC Roadster. Like the coupe, we’re guessing Pagani will make 20 examples of the breed, all by hand. Pricing isn’t known for the time being, although we’re sure it’ll be more expensive than the coupe ($2.5 million).
