UPDATE: First Official Shot of the McLaren MP4-25 for 2010!

Great news for the McLaren Mercedes fans all over the world. Well, we're not exactly sure how good this piece of information is, but they should know that their favorite F1 team has already released the first picture of their MP4-25 challenger for the 2010 Formula One championship. The bad news is that there's only one picture that was sneaked from the Woking headquarters, and you can't really see a bunch of details about the car. The picture shows a couple of mechanics working around the chassis of the next year's car, which is not very different from the one used by the British team on the MP4-24 this year. If you're wondering how this pic managed to surface in the media – actually, on the internet only – on Tuesday afternoon, know that it was actually placed on twitter by the team's official twitter account. The message posted afterwards by the official who takes care of this account is quite eloquent. “Didn't want to make it too easy for you guys - so we blurred the details a bit. But we'll be sure to post more pics over the winter!” said the second message on the McLaren account, soon after “Here's your first shot of a 2010 Formula 1 car! Our guys building up an MP4-25 chassis!!! Exclusively for you...” We're not really sure if that's a joke or anything, but we've decided to show it to you anyway. Who knows, maybe this is in fact the first picture taken of the team's 2010 challenger, with which they plan to conquer the world and leave aside the embarrassment of their 2009 campaign. Just as the message on their twitter account said, we'll probably have to wait until the first test session from the British team to see the important details on the car, including the new aerodynamic look (caused by the larger fuel tank projected for 2010). The car has finally been launched! Click here to see the new MP4-25, in all of its glory!
