Ducati announces that the first official photo of the upcoming Scrambler will be unveiled using the bike’s dedicated Tumblr page and www.scramblerducati.com. However this appears to be the last and final stage of the long teasing campaign put together by Ducati ahead of the official launch. That is, because the photo, which is by the way, expected to be uploaded in a couple of hours or so, will be about all Ducati reveals for now.
The journalists have received an official press release which stated that the complete press kit for the bike will become available tomorrow evening, after the Scrambler will be introduced in the debut day of the 2014 Intermot in Cologne, Germany. The same website appears to be the best way to follow the launch event for Ducati enthusiasts who can’t be present in Cologne. The unveiling of the Scrambler will take place at 6:00 pm (CET time) simultaneously at the Intermot and on scramblerducati.com.
Ducati describes the Scrambler as being “far more than just a bike. It is, rather, a whole new world consisting of creativity, fun and a craving for real change. It is not a vintage motorcycle, it is, instead, an unequivocally modern-day bike, built exactly as if Ducati had never stopped producing it.”
Few days ago we showed you a video of the Scrambler caught testing in a camouflage livery near Bologna, and it shows pretty much all there is to know about this bike, save for certain aesthetical details. However, we’ll bring you an update as soon as the first Ducati Scrambler photo shows up. Hopefully, it will be a decent one and not just yet another “artistic”, hipster-esque picture.
Update: the photo is in fact an animated GIF, which again, doesn't show too much of the bike.
