First Mitsubishi EV Sales Centre Launch Date Announced

Motor Wey Putney EV Sales Centre, one of 13 flagship authorised Mitsubishi EV Sales Centres across the UK, will be launched on January 28, 2011, at the London dealership. Demonstrator vehicles are already available, while the dealership personnel completed an extensive i-MiEV training program.

Motor Wey Putney celebrates EV Sales Centre status by combining the formal launch with an i-MiEV hand-over to Mitsubishi’s first EV customers based in London.

The i-MiEV is on sale priced at GBP23,990 for orders placed for delivery from January 2011 including the UK government’s consumer incentive, the Plugged-In Car Grant (P-ICG) of GBP5,000.

"The official launch of Motor Wey Putney as a Mitsubishi EV Sales Centre on 28th January marks an extremely important event in the company's history. We are proud to be involved with a programme that demonstrates so well Mitsubishi's core values of innovation and cutting edge technology,”
Colt Mid West Group’s Managing Director, Paul Brigden, said in a release.

“The i-MiEV is a fantastic halo for the brand and underlines our bold environmental strategy under the banner of “Intelligent Motion.” We are delighted to be part of the EV programme and to hand-over the first mass-produced fully-electric vehicles to London based customers. Our fully trained personnel will be available throughout the event and ongoing to offer the best advice and service levels to both retail and fleet customers,”
added Brigden.

Mitsubishi is gearing up to introduce new concepts at the 2011 Geneva Auto Show that will preview its future models, all of which are believed to be powered by new and more environmentally-friendly vehicles. The Japanese automaker intends to launch eight hybrid and battery-powered vehicles by 2015.
