First Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series Spotted, Exhaust Sound

The coolest cars in the world usually have the shortest names. Animals, natural phenomena or ancient gods are used, evocative of characteristics the maker wants to convert.
Being German, this car has not one, but six names. Yet the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG Black Series is still quite cool. In fact, even though the badge on the front isn't as prestigious, the Black is more impressive than any Ferrari of the moment.

This is the very first example of the SLS AMG ever first example of the SLS AMG spotted in the wild. It was filmed in Barcelona by WillLillo, who managed to capture the magic of that race-tuned exhaust perfectly.

We've also managed to capture the magic of this exotic yellow rocket at the 2013 NAIAS earlier this month. The most hardcore version of the SLS is power by a 6.3-liter V8 that has been tuned to produce 622 hp (631 PS) at 8,000rpm, 39 hp more than the 2013 SLS AMG. That's enough to take it from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and will top out at 315 km/h (196 mph).

But perhaps the best part of the Black is the look. It's only wider by 20 mm than the standard SLS, but it looks as powerful as a charging rhino. The paint is as yellow as one of those poison frogs, and contrasts well with black wheels and carbon fiber accents.
