Automakers signing a deal with fashion houses to promote both the vehicle and the fashion wear is not a new concept, with many carmakers putting out special edition vehicles branded by big names in the fashion world and coming with neat features.

Among the latest car manufacturers to offer such things is Maserati and its close collaboration with Ermengildo Zegna spawned the Quattroporte Zegna Limited Edition.

The Maserati Quattroporte Zegna got unveiled as a concept car last year at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The production version has now made its debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, looking exactly as the concept.

So, what’s different with this performance sedan? Starting with the exterior, you’ll notice it comes with a special paint that “simulates the fluidity and purity of metal.” This got achieved using very fine aluminum pigments along a gloss black primer after which a smooth brownish coat has been applied. a special set of rims have been installed along with special badges and that kinda sums up the exterior enhancements.

However, the icing on the cake is represented by the custom interior made following Ermengeildo Zegna’s design style. Classical warm tones like moka and greige are reinterpreted in a modern key to emulate the company’s latest mens’s fashion wear, conveying a formal, sophisticated character. Seats, door panels and roof lining are finished in genuine soft leather, along with a velvet-smooth, bright fabric that guarantees the level of performance needed for automotive use.

The Quattroporte Zegna will be built in only 100 units, each being offered with a unique collection of accessories such as high quality bags, umbrellas, sun glasses and more.
