Although the LaFerrari has yet to reach its first customers, as deliveries are scheduled to commence next year, it seems that the new supercar already had its very first crash.
According to supercar spotter Marchettino, the LaFerrari shown in the photo above was rear-ended by a truck on the Italian highway, somewhere near the city of Mantova. The location is not surprising, as Mantova is the place where many Ferrari models have been tested lately.
There’s probably not a lot of damage to the hybrid LaFerrari, or at least nothing that can’t be fixed, but we bet it’s pretty painful for supercar enthusiasts to see Maranello’s latest rocket like this. No word on whether this is a customer car or not, but the vehicles features some kind of lower side protection agains scratches.
As a quick reminder, the LaFerrari is powered by a V12 gasoline engine and electric motor hybrid powertrain rated at 963 HP. The car can reach an electronically-limited top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph) and achieve the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint in under 3 seconds. Only 499 examples will be built.
