First Jaguar XKR-S Convertible Real Life Footage

The Jaguar XK uses a a platform that modern and the epitome of precision engineering... if you’re talking about cars from the mid 2000s. Yet somehow the idea of combining a big engine with more grunt and burble than ever, and a folding roof, plus adding a cool paintjob and body kit, makes this car one of Jaguar’s future classics.

This is the first real life spotting of the new XKR-S convertible we’ve had, and thanks to SpotterGijs’ video we can show you some quality footage shot in Dusseldorf at night.

The topless Jag’ borrows the tech from its coupe brother, which means that we’ll get a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 that has been forced to deliver 550 hp and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque. This has to be the fastest open top Jag in history, so expect to get an explosive beast. However, it will be a fair car, as, through its violent aerodynamic pack, it won’t do anything to hide its muscles.
