First-Gen Lexus IS Still Looking Amazing With the Right Parts

The first Lexus IS came around in 1998 and it was just an L-badged Toyota Altezza and it was also offered in an estate version and even better, with a 2JZ engine.
And this one here in the picture is the IS 300 model, which was fitted with a non-turbo 2JZ 3-liter inline-six engine that puts out 220 hp in stock form.

But regardless of what it has under the hood now, we’re here to talk about how nice this car still looks even after 16 years. It might sound like a short amount of time, but automotive design has progressed exponentially and there are many vehicles from that period now that look like washing machines on wheels.

Not a problem for the IS though - just fit it with a nice aftermarket bumper, lower it a bit, put some nice rims on it like these Work XT7’s here in the pic and it will still stand out.
