First Ever Passenger Ride in a Bugatti Chiron... and on the 'Ring, of All Places

If you believe in Karma, then this guy that just happened to be the first "regular Joe" (he's actually an automotive journalist) to get a passenger ride in the new Bugatti Veyron is going to feel the envy of thousands millions of people worldwide. Not only did he get to ride shotgun in Bugatti's latest crazy hypercar, but he did on the best track of all: the Nurburgring.

I'm tempted to say that the only way his experience could have been better was if he were driving the car himself, but I can imagine the pressure would have been way too high to enjoy the car fully, so maybe it's for the better. Besides, he had a very good driver alongside him in the form of Bugatti and Bentley CEO Wolfgang Dürheimer.

The clip starts with the mandatory prep-talk. One does not simply walk into a Bugatti Chiron and starts driving, OK? This is a car that needs to be appreciated, you have to pace yourself and allow every little detail to be taken in, processed, assimilated, and only then you can move on to the next. Yup, it doesn't cost a gazillion dollars for nothing.

Mr. Dürheimer turns out to be quite the driver - why wouldn't he, considering the cars he has access to - so he takes the planet's most hated man on a quick (how else when you've got 1,500 hp at your disposal?) tour of the Nordschleife. The CEO puts the "pedal to the carbon" (that's how the expression goes now, apparently) and gives this lucky dude what was undoubtedly the ride of his life.

But if you watch the clip closely, you'll notice one very interesting and quite fun fact: the Chiron has another car opening up the track for it. Did you see what it was? Of course you did, how could you miss a white vehicle of that size. It's the new Bentley Bentayga, so if anyone had any questions about its track credentials, here's your answer.

If you feel like hearing a grown man giggle like a little girl that's just seen Justin Bieber in the flesh, then look no further than the video below. The thing is, you'll probably be doing the same thing, and you're just sitting in front of a screen, so let's not be too judgemental here.
