First Dynamic Video of Lexus LF-Gh Hybrid Concept Released

Anticipation for the new Lexus LF-Gh hybrid concept is building, as the car will be officially unveiled at the upcoming 2011 New York International Auto Show. Toyota’s luxury division has taken the time to show us a glimpse of what the car looks like in motion, showing what future Lexus models might look like when you see them driving by on the road. The concept shows a bolder, more ‘in your face’ design that borrows plenty of cues from the LF-A supercar, including the body surfaces as well as the shape of the tail lamps, headlights and front grille. Judging by its exterior dimensions and the configuration, the concept study also previews the next generation of the GS, which should arrive by 2012. Unique LED headlamps and independent L-shaped LED daytime running lights make up the face of the new hybrid sedan, the most menacing we’ve ever seen a Lexus get. “Customers have been waiting for a bold concept like this from Lexus,” said Mark Templin, Lexus Division group vice president and general manager. “We look forward to their feedback and integrating some of these exciting design features into future Lexus vehicles.” The video doesn’t show any of the interior, but from the images that were released last week, we can tell you that even that shows LF-A features. According to the Japanese automaker, “it is an interior designed to respond to the needs of customers who know true quality, and are particular about details”.
