A new road rally has recently been born! We are talking about the Cannonball 2000, an event that kicked off on Wednesday, September 5th, with 50 supercar setting off from London Hilton Park Lane, embarking on a 2000-mile (about 3,200 km) adventure.
The race was started by boxing champion Ricky Hatton, who was supported by a team of beautiful girls. The group of supercars left London Park Lane bound for the south coast, before taking a ferry to St Malo and heading for Barcelona. The route will see the participants drive five European cities including London, Barcelona, Monte Carlo, Milan and finally Paris, with the event also raising funds for children’s charity Dreams Come True.

The cars involved range from names like a a DeLorean DMC-12 to a Lamborghini Gallardo LP570 Performante, Bentley Speed, Bentley GTC convertible and a multiple Aston Martins, including a 1999 DB7 Vantage Volante (convertible) and several DB9 models, Range Rover Sport, Jaguar XK, as well as many Porsches and BMWs. Of course, the Prancing Horse is also present, while Japan is also part of this, thanks to names like the Nissan Skyline and the 350Z GT Roadster.
