Yesterday, we talked about the first (documented, at least) 991 generation Porsche 911 crash. The star of today’s “First [ ] crash” is the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. The 580 hp Camaro was brought to the condition you see above by automotive journalist Aaron Gold, who was test driving the vehicle. It all happened at the Virginia International Raceway, where GM was presenting the vehicle to the press.
Gold, who posted the picture on his Facebook page, has held multiple positions, including About.com editor, consulting producer for Top Gear USA, as well as Vice President of the Motor Press Guild.
Here’s what he had to say about the crash: “Blame it on the rain. Driver was me, I am fine, thank you. GM guys said the damage is cosmetic, but maybe they are trying to make me feel better..."
