It's been more than a year since the Bugatti Chiron, the successor of the infamous Veyron hypercar, has been unveiled to the public, and yet last week marked the moment the first U.S. customer got hold of their car.
As it turns out, the Volkswagen-owned French brand received an order for a black and yellow Chiron, which is an OK color scheme for hot hatches, but might not be to anyone's taste when it comes to multi-million dollar vehicles that are supposed to exude luxury. Well, tough, Deal with it.

Bugatti's latest creation costs around $3,000,000, which is about twice as much as the Veyron. That probably explains why Volkswagen won't be losing money with the new hypercar as it did with the original, but we're pretty sure nobody in Wolfsburg regrets the decision to go through with it as the Veyron quickly became one of the most talked-about cars on the market.

The Chiron was never going to match its predecessor's OMG level, that's despite the fact it has 50 percent more power and significantly more aggressive looks. Is that the reason this particular owner felt the need to have their car painted in this very Lamborghini yellow? Could be.

Even though it's not exactly a novelty anymore, seeing the Bugatti Chiron in the flesh - and particularly hearing its 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine - is still something to write home about. Or, in this case, make a vlog about.

Unboxing videos can hardly get more exciting than this, we're sure you'll agree, and it's easy to forget the guy in the clip below isn't actually the owner of the car considering his enthusiasm. Not that we're judging.

The Chiron, together with the black and blue Veyron behind it, were headed to the Monterey Car Week and its Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance before the handing over the former to its new owner and doing God knows what with the latter.

Surprisingly enough, the U.S. is Bugatti's second largest market after Europe, with almost one-third of total sales heading over the Atlantic. You would expect the Middle-East to at least come second, but it looks like about 150 of the planned 500 Chirons will drive on North American roads. And the bright side? Some of them are bound to have more decent paintworks.
