Testing amazing, beautiful cars is a honor but does come with great responsibility, as some unlucky folks from Poland recently found out. They had a brand new BMW 428i M Sport at their disposal for a couple of days, to test the 3 Series Coupe's replacement and ended up taking the car back on a flatbed trailer.
'How come?' you may ask. Well, we're not sure at the moment of the circumstances but the front right side was crashed, messing those pretty headlights quite badly. Our guess is that they deactivated the DSC completely, just to see how tail happy the car is.
The result surprised them and they ended up in a ditch. You see folks, this is why BMW has the Sport+ mode: for wanna-be drivers that think they can drift like Ken Block. In Sport+ mode the DSC will be partially de-activated, keeping you in check, in case you go a bit too far.
Turning the traction control completely off, will get you in trouble (if you're a novice), just like it happened to these poor souls. We're really feeling sorry for… the car...
