First Bentley Touring Flying Star Priced at $1M

The Bentley Continental Flying Star by Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera has made its world public debut at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show. Now, the very same example displayed at the show is offered for grabs at JamesList, priced at about $1 million (EUR750,000). However, the rest of the 19 examples built will be offered at a base price of around $800,000 (EUR590,000).

The car, tagged to be a ‘shooting brake’, has been listed for sale in Belgium. Its rear compartment features two foldable rear seats and a variable loading space. Overall the Flying Star is 4.8 metres long (189 inch), 1.9 meters (75 inch) wide and 1.4 meters (55 inch) high.

Based on the Bentley Continental GTC chassis, all Flying Stars will be manufactured to personal specifications and feature various power outputs delivered by the twin-turbo 6.0-litre W12 engine.

For instance, customers are able to choose from the 560 hp version which delivers 650 Nm of torque at 1,600 rpm or the GTC Speed variant which delivers a massive 750 Nm from 610 hp. The car exhibited in Geneva last year, and now offered for sale, features the GCT Speed specifications.

Power is sent to all four wheels via a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The 0 -100km/h (0-62mph) sprint takes an estimated 4.8 seconds and top speed is expected to hit 322km/h (200 mph).

The accessory collection includes the Touring designed luggage set coordinated with the boot trim, and the distinctive Borrani X-Ray spoke wheels.

According to JamesList, the future owner of this car will find some of the finest leathers made by Belgian company Delvaux inside the vehicle.
