After not even a day since the 2014 MINI was launched, we already have a first take on the 3rd model in its history, since BMW took over.
The guys from Auto Express were amongst the first to take a closer look at the car in person and, of course, they filmed their encounter.

Apart from the usual spec details that we already covered and are simple to find out online, we’re more interested on how the car feels and looks like in person.

In this regard, Mat Watson gives us what we want. Inside, the car feels even more premium and posh than before and the central pod looks rather good, unlike what some might say.

The materials used feel good to the touch and the buttons are ergonomically placed around you, even better than before. The biggest improvement might actually be the relocation of the electric powered windows button on the doors, a feature we’ve been expecting for quite a while.

The start button that’s now in the middle of the center console feels good to the touch and even ‘pulsates’ as Mat says, whilst the new iDrive controller eases your life a lot, allowing you to use its touch-sensitive surface.

Needless to say that we can’t wait to get our hands on the new MINI too and take it for a quick spin.
