Early buyers of the all-new 2014 Cadillac ELR electric coupe will receive a complementary 240-volt home charging station, free installation included, the manufacturer announced today.
The manufacturer didn’t say how many vehicles will come with the free home charger, but it wouldn’t hurt to keep the offer for all vehicles considering the $75,000 sticker the 2014 ELR comes with.
"The ELR's blend of leading technology with provocative design and fun-to-drive performance is set to bring new buyers to Cadillac and to electrification itself," said Uwe Ellinghaus, chief marketing officer, Global Cadillac. "Professional installation of the fastest home-charging unit is a natural way to mark the introduction of ELR to the luxury market."
In related news, the 2014 Cadillac ELR won Green Car Journal’s 2014 Green Car Technology Award for its Regen on Demand system.
