The Hyundai that got Volkswagen worked up is here and the European TV channels will soon host this, the first commercial for the five-door hatch. Of course, the manufacture plays with the ideals of the segment, value, style and comfort, but there’s also an undertone of safety and of course the extensive warranty that al Hyundais are known for.
The five-door is on offer with a choice of two direct-injection gasoline engines with a displacement of 1.4-liters and 1.6-liters, and two CRDi turbo diesels with exactly the same two capacities. The future of the i30 holds a hothatch with 200 hp, the thee-door as well as a hybird model next year.
“The new-generation i30 is recognizable thanks to the Hyundai family face with its signature hexagonal-shaped front grille and the jewel-like design of the headlamps, together with distinctive daytime running lights. These lights present an angular shape within a more softly-edged recess, adding a strong personality to the vehicle, as well as a sense of refinement and luxury,” says Thomas Bürkle, Chief Designer at Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Centre.
