First 2012 Audi A1 Sportback Video Released

Audi finally put and end to speculation regarding the five-door A1, which all started with their A1 Sportback Concept from 2008. The production car was unveiled today, as the Ingolstadt manufacturer had to come forth with the design due to some slip-ups with some images being leaked on the internet.
We bring you the first video footage of the little A1 Sportback, which is basically a showroom trailer detailing all the funky details that make the car cool and cost you a pretty penny to spec: S-line kit, full leather, bigger alloy wheels.

The Audi A1 Sportback will hit showrooms in spring 2012, selling with a choice of three TFSI gasoline and three TDI diesel engines producing between 63 kW (86 hp) and 136 kW (185 hp). We’ve already covered most of the details in a previous post, but we’d say the five-door supermini is destined for market success, since the design is well thought out and neither MINI nor the Fiat 500 have an answer for it.
